Prashanth G Iyer MD, MPH

Dr. Iyer completed his undergraduate degree in genetics at Rutgers University, cum laude. Afterwards, he pursued his master of public heath degree at Dartmouth College, where his focus was on studying the social determinants of health in caregivers of children with developmental disabilities. Prashanth recently received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During his time at Jefferson, Prashanth worked closely with Dr. Carol Shields from the Ocular Oncology Service at Wills Eye Hospital, where he conducted and published research on ocular tumors. He was awarded the National Eye Institute Travel Grant in 2015 to present research on intra-arterial chemotherapy for recurrent subretinal seeds from retinoblastoma as an oral presentation at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). Prashanth is currently an intern resident at Christiana Care Health Systems and an incoming resident in ophthalmology at Drexel University College of Medicine Class of 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
