Prashant Kapoor, MD, FACP is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Oncology and a Senior Associate Consultant in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. After receiving his medical degree from Mumbai, India and internal medicine residency training from Chicago, USA, he worked as the Kurtz Dysproteinemia Research Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Philip R. Greipp.  He went on to train as a clinical hematology and oncology fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and joined the faculty of Mayo Clinic in 2012 as a member of the Dysproteinemia Group. His research focuses on prognostic markers and novel therapeutics in multiple myeloma, Waldenström macroglobulinemia and related plasma cell disorders.
