Dr. Pichamol (Sigh) Jirapinyo is an advanced endoscopist and bariatric endoscopist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where she also serves as Director of Bariatric Endoscopy Fellowship and Associate Director of Bariatric Endoscopy.

Dr. Jirapinyo’s clinical and research interests are in the areas of endoscopic management of obesity and metabolic diseases including metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease (MASLD). In addition to performing therapeutic procedures including diagnostic and interventional EUS and ERCP, Dr. Jirapinyo routinely performs both primary endoscopic bariatric procedures and a range of endoscopic treatments of bariatric surgical complications, including weight regain or inadequate weight loss. Additionally, she routinely prescribes lifestyle intervention and FDA-approved weight loss medications for patients with obesity and metabolic diseases.

Dr. Jirapinyo’s body of work comprises over 100 publications, several patents, licensing agreements, grants, clinical trials, national and international lectures, live case demonstrations and awards. She is also currently leading two joint society guidelines on bariatric and metabolic endoscopy and is chairing the endobariatrics committee for Foundation for Interventional & Therapeutic Endoscopy (FITE).
