Professor Philip Preshaw is Professor of Periodontology in the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. He received his Dental Degree from the University of Newcastle (UK) in 1991 and his PhD in 1997. He is a registered specialist in Periodontics (UK) and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also a Visiting Professor in Periodontology at Newcastle University.


In the last 3 years, Professor Preshaw has received grants from the National Institute of Health Research, grants from Colgate Palmolive, and grants and lecture fees from Philips Research. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and the British Dental Journal.
