Pavel Osmancik was born on June 3rd, 1972, in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He is married and has three children. He graduated on the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague, in 1996. He worked in the dept. of internal medicine, Teaching Hospital Ostrava until 9/1998, then he moved to dept. of Cardiology, University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady, Prague, Czech Republic. In 4/2000, he passed the board exam for internal medicine, and in 5/2005 board exam in cardiology. In 10/1998 he started PhD study on the Charles University, Prague that he defended in 2004. As a part of the PhD study, he spent one year in the laboratory of the Cardiac Center in Leipzig, Germany. He is active in cardiac electrophysiology since 2000. Currently he is the head of the division of cardiac arrhythmias, and the deputy head of the dept of cardiology at University Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady, Prague, Czech Republic.
