Dr. Patrick Pfau is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Pfau graduated from Northwestern University Medical School and completed medical residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He trained at Case Western University, University Hospitals of Cleveland in advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Pfau is presently Chief of Clinical Gastroenterology, Director of Biliary and Pancreatic Endoscopy , and Director of the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. He serves on the University of Wisconsin Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee and has been Chairman and physician champion of the University of Wisconsin Colon Cancer Screening Initiative.

Dr. Pfau’s research is focused on the topics of interventional endoscopy, endoscopic oncology, and colorectal cancer screening. He has authored approximately 200 papers and book chapters on these topics.
