Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor at NIPER-Ahmedabad, India. He obtained his PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi and further had his post-doctoral training at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine USA. He was a visiting scientist at Harvard Medical School, Boston and also had an advanced training in stem cell biology at Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL), Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. Presently, he works on the aspects of neuroendocrine regulation in ischemic stroke, strategies for mitochondria protection, exploring the cross talk between mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum in stroke. His research interest also lies with the regulatory RNA mediated mesenchymal stem cell engineering ,nanoparticle based targeted drug delivery to the brain and stroke induced optic neuropathy.
