Floyd College of Medicine; Medical Director, Liver Transplant Program, Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, WashingtonDr. Oren Fix is the Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and Clinical Associate Professor at the Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. He is co-chair of the AASLD COVID-19 Task Force’s Clinical Oversight and Education Subcommittee (COES), which initially published its expert panel consensus statement on COVID-19 online and in Hepatology early in the pandemic and has been updating the recommendations regularly online. COES has also developed a series of webinars on COVID-19 that have been cumulatively viewed over 379,000 times. He has served the AASLD as chair of several committees and is on the editorial boards of Liver Transplantation and Hepatology Communications. He serves on the ACGME Review Committee for Internal Medicine and was instrumental in the development of the new ABIM dual certification pathway for gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. In addition to his hepatology interests, Dr. Fix is also board certified in clinical informatics and a certified Epic Physician Builder.
