Director of Men’s Health and Assistant Professor of Urology, Department of Urology, Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans, Louisiana

Dr. Omer Raheem is a fellowship-trained urologist and the Director of Men’s Health at Tulane University, Department of Urology, and its affiliated teaching hospitals and clinics. He completed his urology residency at the University of California, San Diego and his fellowship at the University of Washington, Department of Urology, specializing in Male Reproductive, Sexual Medicine, and Prosthetics Surgery. Prior to his training in the USA, Dr. Raheem was awarded membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom and Ireland following the completion of Basic Surgical Training.

Dr. Raheem has accrued multiple certifications and contributed to a wide array of medical texts, several book chapters and publications in more than 100 peer-reviewed journals. He has been awarded several prestigious research prizes at national urologic confernces, and won the AUA George W. Kaplan Outstanding Research Resident for three consecutive years [2015-2017]. In addition, he was awarded the Coloplast Research Grant and Travel award, Minnesota, in 2016.

Dr. Raheem holds a patent for a xenograft model of human bone metastatic prostate cancer developed in 2013 at the University of California, San Diego, Moores Cancer Center prostate cancer research laboratory. 

Dr. Raheem's clinical and research interests include all aspects of male reproductive and sexual dysfunction. He believes in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to evaluate and treat erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, male infertility, and various men’s health conditions. Dr. Raheem's goal is to establish state-of-the art Men’s Health Clinics within the Tulane Health System to serve as a gateway for patients from the wider Gulf South region to help them arrive to the best solution for complex men’s health issues.
