Professor of Medicine and Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy and Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, Scottsdale, ArizonaNorio Fukami, MD, AGAF, FACG, MASGE, FJGES, is currently professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona and Director of therapeutic endoscopy and advanced endoscopy fellowship, who specialized in the wide variety of therapeutic endoscopy. He has been actively involved in the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and served for multiple ASGE Committees and have served many ASGE courses as an educator and a director. He is a current chair of ASGE ESD special interest group. He also serves as a member of international committee for Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society.
He has authored many peer-reviewed papers, editorials, invited articles, and book chapters on therapeutic endoscopy including EUS, ERCP, and luminal interventions. He was an editor for the first English textbook on ESD. He had an honor at the State Capital of Colorado to receive recognition for the excellence in cancer care with advanced endoscopic treatment in 2010 and he received Master of Endoscopy Award from ASGE in 2018.
