Dr. Noemi Malandrino is a third-year clinical and research fellow at the Johns Hopkins Division of Endocrinology. She plans to develop her career as a physician-scientist conducting clinical experimental research. Her research relates to understanding the role of dysfunctional adipose tissue and ectopic fat in the development of insulin resistance, diabetes, and the related complications, with the ultimate goal to develop personalized strategies for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes and metabolic disease.
