Dr. Nicolino Di Benedetto earned his Bachelors Degree in Biology at Columbia University in the city of New York. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. While completing externships at Brooklyn/St. Albans VA Hospital and Manhattan VA Hospital, he realized his particular interest in geriatric eye care and anterior segment disease. Dr. Di Benedetto is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. He is certified by the NJ Board of Optometrists as a therapeutic optometrist and has an OM Certification in the use of oral pharmaceutical agents.  Dr. Di Benedetto is a Fellow of the American Board of Clinical Optometry.

Dr. Di Benedetto joined Phillips and Hudson Eye Specialists as a center director in 2004. He shares in the pre- and post- operative care of our patients, assists our sub-specialists in their clinical care, provides consultations in external eye disease, and is available for emergency eye care. He periodically gives continuing education lectures for fellow optometric physicians.
