Nghia Nguyen MD, MAS

Nghia Nguyen, MD, MAS, is a gastroenterology fellow currently in a combined clinical informatics and advanced inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) fellowship through the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the Department of Gastroenterology, respectively, at the University of California San Diego Health. Dr. Nguyen has a keen interest in population health management of patients with IBD, with a specific focus on the novel application of artificial intelligence and digital health technologies in IBD to better understand the complex and multi-dimensional causes and factors associated with unplanned healthcare utilization (e.g., hospitalizations and readmissions) and develop interventions to improve clinical outcomes and reduce unplanned healthcare utilization.
