Dr. Nestoras Mathioudakis is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he serves as Co-Director of the Diabetes Prevention and Education Program for Johns Hopkins Medicine. His research focuses on applying machine learning and health informatics to improve diabetes care, including pioneering studies on hypoglycemia prediction and management. He has authored over 120 publications and contributed to national consensus guidelines in endocrinology. Dr. Mathioudakis is an R01 funded clinical investigator, currently evaluating AI interventions for diabetes prevention and strategies to reduce racial disparities in uptake and use of diabetes-related technologies.
