He heads the fatty liver and genomics groups at Storr Liver Centre and the International Liver Genetics Consortium that led to the identification of genetic and epigenetic factors that impact hepatic steatosis, inflammation and fibrosis. He undertakes basic and clinical research on MAFLD, hepatitis C, liver cancer and hepatic fibrosis. He is on the Editorial Board of Hepatology, Liver International and JCTH. He has had >130 publications.
