Michelle Kang Kim, MD, PhD, is Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is also Co-Director of the Center for Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumors. Dr. Kim has received research funding from the American Cancer Society, the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation, the Mount Sinai CTSA and the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. She has published more than 80 publications in journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Gastroenterology, and NEJM Catalyst. Dr. Kim is strongly committed to the career development of medical trainees and junior faculty, especially that of women and underrepresented minorities. Dr. Kim has won numerous teaching awards and has mentored nearly five dozen medical students, residents, gastroenterology fellows, and junior faculty.
