Michael J Veliky OD

Dr. Veliky graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and completed his Optometry degree at The New England College of Optometry in 1992. Having completed his Residency at Omni Eye Services of New Jersey, he then joined Omni as Center Director of the Rochelle Park office.

Dr. Veliky is a member of several organizations, including the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP), and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.  He has been an officer of the Bergen - Passaic Society of Optometric Physicians since 1995, serving as President since 1997.

Dr. Veliky is a two-term past president of the NJSOP, and he is the current Chair of the NJSOP Legislative Committee. He is honored to serve as adjunct faculty at numerous Colleges of Optometry.

A recipient of several prestigious awards, Dr. Veliky was named NJSOP’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 1998, and in 2001 he was selected as the NJSOP  Optometrist of the Year. Dr. Veliky has lectured extensively in the NY Metropolitan area and has an integral role in Omni Eye Services’ internship and residency programs.
