Mercé Albert-Bayo got her Biotechnology BSC in 2017 at the Universitat Politècnica de València, studying the last year in the University of Helsinki. She holds a master’s degree in translational biomedical research from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a postgraduate in pharmaceuticals science research from the Universitat de Barcelona. Currently, she is a PhD student in neuroscience at the UAB for the project entitled “Neuro-epithelial interaction induced by intestinal exposome and its contribution to chronic diarrhea in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Microscopic Colitis” at the Digestive Diseases Research unit of the Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (Barcelona, Spain).
