Melissa Wilson MD, PhD
Hematology/Oncology Fellow at the Hospital of the University of PennsylvaniaDr. Wilson received her PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. After graduate school, she continued her research efforts in breast cancer as a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Reproductive and Developmental Toxicology at the National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences, and then in the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the National Cancer Institute/NIH. Dr. Wilson earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently a second-year hematology/oncology fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her research and clinical focus is in melanoma, particularly the somatic mutations involved in melanoma pathogenesis.
