Melissa Pugliano-Mauro, MD received her medical degree from Drexel University. She completed her dermatology residency and Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Vermont. Dr. Pugliano-Mauro joined the staff as an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. She was appointed the program director for the Dermatology Residency and the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic fellowship in 2015. As a prior assistant program director and medical educator, Dr. Pugliano-Mauro has been extensively involved in teaching, training, and mentoring. Her focus is Mohs surgery and skin cancer in the setting of solid organ transplantation. She is co-director of the Center for Organ Transplantation Related Skin Disease.
Dr. Pugliano-Mauro currently serves as a member of the American College of Mohs Surgeons, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
