Associate Professor, Departments of Medicine Thoracic Surgery, and Biomedical Informatics, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TennesseeMelinda Aldrich, PhD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Division of Genetic Medicine within the Department of Medicine and holds secondary appointments in the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Department of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is also a member of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Vanderbilt Genetics Institute. Dr. Aldrich has played a pivotal role in advancing knowledge of lung cancer in African Americans and underserved populations. Her research interests include addressing disparities in lung cancer screening and identifying genetic and non-genetic factors contributing to lung cancer risk and outcomes in diverse populations. Dr. Aldrich serves on the Board of Directors of the American College of Epidemiology and the International Network for Epidemiology in Policy.
