After completing his medical studies in Heidelberg, Germany Max Dieterich started and completed his residency in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Interdisciplinary Breast Center Rostock Germany under the Head of Department Prof. B. Gerber. In 2012 he received his Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. His research aims include, besides general clinical breast cancer research, the utilization of biological matrixes and synthetic meshes in heterologeous breast reconstruction. In 2013 I received the “Staude Pfannestiel” Price of the Northern German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology for his research in biocompatibility and clinical impact of biological matrixes and synthetic meshes in implant based breast reconstruction and presented our data at the 2013 Plastic Surgery Meeting in San Diego.
