She completed her medical education at the University of MS School of Medicine, and dermatology residency at the University of MS Medical Center (UMMC), where she served as Chief Resident. She was honored with a number of awards during her training, including the Resident Teaching Award and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Med Society Resident of the Year award. Dr. Offiah has authored/published research papers and contributed to textbook chapters.
After residency, Dr. Offiah joined the UMMC department of dermatology as an Assistant Professor, then subsequently joined the Hattiesburg Clinic, and is fully established there in private practice. She remains an Affiliate faculty at UMMC, and helps train Residents as Staff Physician of the Dermatology Residents’ surgery clinic at the VA Medical Center.
Dr. Offiah’s interests extend to all aspects of dermatology, from general medical dermatology, including complex dermatology, to surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about providing quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered dermatologic care.
Dr. Offiah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). Professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, Mississippi State Medical Association, Mississippi Dermatology Association, Women’s Dermatologic Society and Skin of Color Society. She serves as a member of the Dermatology World Editorial Advisory Workgroup (DermWorld is a monthly publication of the AAD).
