Dr. Yurgelun is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Lynch Syndrome Center. He is a medical oncologist who specializes in the care and management of individuals with gastrointestinal malignancies, as well as in the diagnosis and management of individuals with various forms of inherited gastrointestinal cancer risk, including Lynch syndrome. His research has focused on personalized Lynch syndrome risk assessment and in the use of multigene panel testing to evaluate individuals with suspected inherited gastrointestinal cancer syndromes.
