Professor of Anesthesiology and Vice-Chair of Education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Nashville, TN

Dr. McEvoy is Professor of Anesthesiology and Vice-Chair of Education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).  He is also the Program Director for the Perioperative Medicine Fellowship and Chief of the Perioperative Consult Service.  Dr. McEvoy has partnered with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to implement evidence-based systems of care, including the Enhanced Recovery Program and Hi-RISE (High-Risk Surgical Encounter) Service at VUMC.  He is currently leading several trials to evaluate the utility of cardiac biomarkers in risk stratification and improving patient outcomes in the perioperative period.
