Dr. Azar is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, at Yale University. He obtained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He then completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Yale followed by Internal Medicine Residency at Indiana University. He is trained in both Clinical Infectious Diseases (Yale) and Clinical Microbiology (Massachusetts General Hospital) with a focus on infections in the immunocompromised host, clinical mycology and emerging diagnostics.
