Martina Porter, MD, completed her dermatology residency training at Roger Williams Medical Center. Through the American Board of Dermatology’s Special Investigative Training Track, she spent her third year of residency as a Clinical and Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital with a focus on clinical trials.  She also completed an additional research fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she started a new clinical trials unit, the Clinical Laboratory for Epidemiology and Applied Research (CLEARS), with Dr. Alexa Kimball, that she now directs.  She has developed an expertise in Hidradenitis Suppurativa, the design and conduct of clinical trials, and the development and validation of disease-specific scoring systems.  Her specific research interests include Women’s Health, Quality improvement, Psoriasis, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, and Alopecia.
