Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Associate Head of Education Affairs and Residency Program Director, Chicago, IllinoisMaria Tsoukas, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Associate Head of Education Affairs and Residency Program Director. Her clinical expertise includes diagnosis and management of patients at high risk for skin cancer, including but not limited to chronically immunosuppressed or patients with autoimmune disease, and skin care of the oncology patients, utilizing non-invasive field cancerizaion therapies and latest advances in photodynamic therapy.
Her clinical interest is also focused on procedural dermatology, skin cancer and laser surgery for benign and malignant skin conditions as well as non-invasive skin rejuvenation using injectable botulinum toxin and fillers. Her research is focused on photobiology and photodynamic therapy for which she has recently received the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Cutting Edge Research Grant.
