Associate Professor of Urologic Oncology, Department of Surgical Oncology, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaDr. Smaldone is an Associate Professor of Urologic Oncology and an Attending Physician in the Department of Surgical Oncology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center – Temple University Health System. Dr. Smaldone completed medical training at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2004 followed by a urologic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. He then completed his urologic oncology fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 2012 and a Masters of Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. His clinical interests include the surgical management of locally advanced kidney, bladder, and prostate cancers, while his research interests focus on quality improvement, performance measurement, and improving care coordination at the time of regionalization for complex oncologic care.
