Dr. Shook is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She is the Co-Director of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Program.

She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research has recently focused on the impact of maternal immune activation on offspring cardiometabolic programming.
