Lucia Seminario-Vidal MD, PhD, FAAD

Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, University of South Florida; Assistant Member, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Florida

Dr. Seminario-Vidal is a board-certified dermatologist specialized in complex dermatology, with a special interest in cutaneous oncology, dermatologic inpatient consultations, and clinical research. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at USF, co-director of the multi-disciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at Moffitt Cancer Center, the director of the dermatology hospital consult service at Tampa General Hospital and at Moffitt Cancer Center, and the director of clinical research within Dermatology at USF.

Dr. Seminario-Vidal completed her Dermatology Residency at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She earned her MD from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru, and subsequently her PhD in Cell and Molecular Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She did a fellowship in Clinical Trials in Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In addition to treating pediatric and adult patients, Dr. Seminario-Vidal enjoys working with medical students and residents in clinic as well as in scholarly activities and research projects. She has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, and has presented her work at diverse local, regional, national, and international meetings. She has developed investigator initiated studies and has participated in more than 60 clinical trials.

Dr. Seminario-Vidal is an active member of the Society of Investigative Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Medical Dermatology Society, the United States Cutaneous Lymphoma Consortium, and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer. She is a native Spanish speaker and enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her family.
