Loren G. Rabinowitz, MD, recently completed her fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital and will join the faculty as Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. Her clinical research is focused on the intersection of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and women’s health. Her recent work examines the opioid crisis in IBD, as well as gender-specific drivers of disease. She is passionate about achieving gender equity in medicine and gastroenterology, and has led multicenter, national studies on gender dynamics in medical education, mentorship, and parental leave policies. Her research and perspective pieces have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet GI & Hepatology, Academic Medicine, American Journal of Gastroenterology, and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, among others.
