Lincoln Shaw MD
Surgical Vitreoretinal Fellow, University of Chicago, Chicago, ILLincoln Shaw is currently a second-year surgical vitreoretinal fellow at the University of Chicago. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA), the American Society of Retinal Specialists (ASRS), and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). He has been involved in many clinical trials and research studies focused on topics including novel therapeutic approaches to treating diabetic retinopathy, the role of the gut microbiome in the development of age-related macular degeneration, and treatment strategies for neovascular glaucoma. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications relating to novel therapeutic approaches to treating diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, laser and surgical repair of rare retinal diseases, treatment of neovascular glaucoma, and many other diseases of the retina and vitreous.
