Research Fellow, Department of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaKristine S. Ojala received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. Her doctoral research investigated preclinical therapeutics and mechanisms of neuromuscular diseases, with a focus on spinal muscular atrophy and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome. Dr. Ojala received an individual fellowship for graduate training from NIH and is currently funded by a fellowship for postdoctoral training from NINDS as she continues her preclinical research on neuromuscular diseases. In her free time, she enjoys playing the ukulele.
