Kristine S. Ojala received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. Her doctoral research investigated preclinical therapeutics and mechanisms of neuromuscular diseases, with a focus on spinal muscular atrophy and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome. Dr. Ojala received an individual fellowship for graduate training from NIH and is currently funded by a fellowship for postdoctoral training from NINDS as she continues her preclinical research on neuromuscular diseases. In her free time, she enjoys playing the ukulele.
