Kathrin LaFaver MD, FAAN
Associate Professor of Neurology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, IllinoisDr. LaFaver is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is a native from Germany, underwent neurology residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and movement disorder fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. She held the position of Director of the Movement Disorders Clinic and Raymond Lee Lebby Chair of Parkinson’s Disease Research at University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, before joining Northwestern University in 2019. Dr. LaFaver is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and member of the Parkinson’s and Huntington’s Disease Study Groups. Her current research focus is to study the pathophysiology of functional movement disorders and optimizing treatment interventions.
