Dr. Katherine Morrison is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado. After a career in primary care, she completed a fellowship in palliative care at San Diego Hospice. Since 2013, she has worked for the Inpatient Palliative Medicine Service on the Anschutz Campus. She is currently Director of the Wellness Initiative for the CU Department of Medicine and Co-director for an AIRE pilot project, creating and teaching the first virtual fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine, in which fellows are slated to be able to sit for the boards. She helped develop and is faculty for Graduate Medical Education Department at the University of Colorado, the first Masters of Science in Palliative Care in the United States. She recently accepted the position of COMPASS guide for the CU School of Medicine in which she acts as coach, mentor, educator, and advisor for students. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Dr. Morrison interests include wellness and resilience for health care providers, graduate and medical education, mentorship, and palliative care.
