Kapil Gururangan MD
Fellow in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology, Department of Neurology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Los Angeles, CaliforniaDr. Kapil Gururangan is currently a fellow in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at University of California Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from Stanford University and completed his neurology residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where he served as chief resident and was awarded an NINDS R25 training grant. After completing his training, he will be joining the epilepsy faculty of Northwestern University as an assistant professor in the department of neurology.
Dr. Gururangan’s clinical and research interests include surgical and neuromodulatory treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy, diagnosis and management of nonconvulsive status epilepticus, brain tumor-related epilepsy, and electroencephalography education. He also serves as a clinical and scientific advisor to Ceribell Inc., a medical device startup company that commercializes an artificial intelligence-enabled point-of-care rapid EEG system for detecting nonconvulsive seizures and status epilepticus.
