Dr. Jyotirmay Biswas is an ophthalmologist who has specialized in uveitis and ophthalmic pathology. He has done fellowship both in vitreoretinal surgery and ophthalmic pathology. He has published 527 articles in indexed journals, 75 chapters and five books on uveitis and one book on ophthalmic pathology. He has mentored 48 uveitis fellows, received 51 awards and presented over 500 papers. He is a member of International Uveitis Study Group, American Uveitis Society and International Ocular Inflammation Society and fellow of Indian College of Pathologists. He is the founding member and past president of Uveitis Society of India.  Currently he is working as director of uveitis and ophthalmic pathology departments at a tertiary eye care center.
