He is also the Director of Clinical Affairs for the Section of Critical Care. His clinical and research interests are in interstitial lung disease and specifically in the the development and progression of rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease. He also started and directs a health-focused INGO in central Vietnam called the Vietnam Health Improvement Project.
