Professor Jonathan Shaw is Deputy Director at Melbourne’s Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. He is also an endocrinologist, Chair of the Diabetes Advisory Group to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, Council member of the Australian Diabetes Society, and Past-President of the International Diabetes Epidemiology Group. His awards include the IDEG Peter Bennett award (2011), the ADS Jeff Flack Diabetes Data award (2015), and the ADS Kellion Diabetes award (2018). He has authored over 400 peer-reviewed scientific papers, was included in the Thomson Reuters The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds (2014) and the Clarivate list of the world’s most Highly Cited Researchers (2017 and 2018).
