John W Beasley MD
Faculty, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, WisconsinDr. Beasley graduated cum laude from Harvard in 1964 and received his MD from the University of Minnesota in 1969. He served as a Peace Corps physician in the Chuuk Islands and then took a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Wisconsin. He has been a director of Pre-doctoral programs, and a residency director. Along with Jim Damos and Mary Stone, he developed the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) program. Most recently he has served as the Coordinator of the National Collaborative to Improve Primary Care Through Industrial and Systems Engineering (I-PrACTISE). He maintains an active family practice with nearly 40 years of continuity, teaches, and serves as medical director of the Physician Assistant Program. He has authored several book chapters, and over 20 articles dealing with primary care practice.
