Dr Ingles and Prof Chris Semsarian established the Genetic Heart Disease Clinic, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2004, now a major referral center for cardiac genetics in Australia. In 2008 they established the Australian Genetic Heart Disease Registry, which aims to enrol every Australian family with a genetic heart disease in an effort to create awareness and better understand these diseases. Dr Ingles currently leads the Clinical and Public Health stream within the Molecular Cardiology Research Program, with projects focused on clinical genetics, genetic counseling, family management and psychosocial functioning.
