Jesse C. Hinshaw MD, MS

Jesse Hinshaw was raised surrounded by the open fields and welcoming people of Wyoming. Currently, Jesse practices as a first year resident at the University of Colorado Internal Medicine Residency Program. He was always drawn to the challenge presented by science and medicine, graduating with a Master of Science in molecular biology from the University of Wyoming and a Medical Degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. His research projects have focused on the use of siRNA to treat nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and the impact of accurate history taking in the field of medical genetics. His greatest interests are in dermatology, medical genetics and rheumatology, and he plans to continue research in these fields.

Throughout all of his endeavors, Jesse has been supported by his wonderful wife Sheridan, and two outrageous chihuahuas Rufus and Cha-Cha who show their affection best by a tongue to the nose. He adores his younger niece Brooklyn and nephew Charlie who mean the world over to him. Driven by his family and small rural communities which inspired him, Jesse is eager to learn and practice while finishing his residency in internal medicine.
