Gastroenterology Fellow, Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, The University of Chicago Medicine, Chicago, IllinoisDr. Wang is a third year gastroenterology fellow at the University of Chicago with plans to complete a fourth year transplant hepatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2022. She completed her undergraduate, medical school and internal medicine residency all at the University of Virginia. Her clinical and research interests are in the management of decompensated cirrhosis with a specific interest in malnutrition, sarcopenia, frailty and quality of life. She has won multiple Travel Awards from American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, including AASLD Emerging Liver Scholar as well as AASLD Ambassador for three consecutive years. She has presented and published multiple manuscripts in various areas of hepatology including portal vein thrombosis, hepatorenal syndrome, viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis and access to care.
