Jelle Vehof, MD, PhD, received his medical and doctoral degrees at the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands. He is an epidemiologist working with population-based epidemiology cohorts (TwinsUK at King’s College London and Lifelines in Groningen) and a clinician, currently completing his residency in ophthalmology. His research aims to unravel the epidemiology and genetics of dry eye disease, with a special focus on the relationship between dry eye and chronic pain.
