Chief of Benign Hematology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MassachusettsJeffrey Zwicker, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief, Section of Benign Hematology, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Zwicker has chaired a number of scientific committees including ISTH Subcommittee on Hemostasis and Cancer and ASH Subcommittee on Thrombosis and Vascular Biology. He is the co-organizer of the ASH workshop on the interplay of between coagulation and malignancy and associate editor for Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Dr. Zwicker leads an NIH-funded research program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with a focus on novel risk factors and therapeutic approaches to thrombotic disease with an emphasis on cancer-associated thrombosis.
