
Jeffrey P. North MD, FAAD
Assistant Professor of Pathology and Dermatology, UCSF Dermatopathology and Oral Pathology Service, University of California, San Francisco, San Francisco, CaliforniaJeff North, MD is an Associate Professor of dermatology and pathology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. North received his undergraduate degree in molecular biology and chemistry at Brigham Young University and his medical degree from UCSF. He completed dermatology residency at Oregon Health & Science University, and then returned to UCSF for dermatopathology fellowship.
Dr. North’s interests include dermatopathology, molecular assessment of melanocytic and cutaneous adnexal tumors, and immunoprofiling inflammatory skin diseases to allow for more precise diagnosis and understanding of these diseases. He has served as an associate editor for the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and on various committees in the AAD, ASDP, and ISDP. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on a broad range of issues in dermatology and dermatopathology.
