Dr. Jay Shubrook, a practicing diabetologist, is Associate Professor of Family Medicine and the Director of the Clinical Division of the Diabetes Institute at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-COM) in Athens, Ohio. He is the Director of the UMA (University Medical Associates) Diabetes/Endocrine Center, also in Athens.

Dr. Shubrook received his medical degree from OU-COM and his residency training in family practice at Firelands Community Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio. He completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in preventive medicine/public health at OU-COM, where he also completed a fellowship in academic leadership. His fellowship in diabetes was completed at OU-COM/Appalachia Regional Diabetes Institute.
