Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of California Davis; Medical Dermatologist, Integrative Skin Science and Research – Pacific Skin Institute, Sacramento, CaliforniaDr. Jason Hawkes is a board-certified dermatologist in the greater Sacramento area. He received his medical degree and completed his residency training at the University of Utah, where he participated in the Program’s 2+2 dermatology research track. Dr. Hawkes then worked as a faculty member in the Departments of Dermatology at the University of Utah, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and University of California Davis. In addition to his clinical training, he completed a research fellowship in translational immunology at the National Institutes of Health and received a master’s degree in Clinical Investigation from Rockefeller University’s Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology.
Dr. Hawkes serves on the Medical Board and Scientific Advisory Committee of the National Psoriasis Foundation, as well as Councilor in the International Psoriasis Council. He is the recipient of multiple research grants and teaching awards, including the 2021 NPF Outstanding Educator in Psoriatic Disease. He has served as the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator of multiple pharmaceutical-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trial protocols. Dr. Hawkes is the author of >60 peer-reviewed publications and multiple medical textbook chapters. His principal clinical and research interests are the treatment of complex inflammatory skin diseases using novel systemic and biologic therapies.
