Janaki D. Vakharia MD

Janaki D. Vakharia is a combined adult and pediatric endocrinologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital for Children. She obtained her medical degree at the Jacob’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY, completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program at Brown University’s Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI, and completed her combined endocrinology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her clinical and research interests are focused on improving healthcare delivery for young adults with chronic endocrine conditions as they transition from pediatric to adult care. She is the Director of the Diabetes Collaborative Care Clinic for Young Adults at the MGH Diabetes Center, a clinic that focuses on patients’ diabetes care, mental health, and overall well-being after their transition to the adult care setting.
